Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Sportuhr und landete bei einer Tabelle.
Garmin Forerunner 265 für 499 €. Apple Watch Ultra 3 für 899 €. Polar Vantage V3, Suunto Race, Coros Apex 2. Mein Budget lag bei rund 500 € und ich versuchte herauszufinden, welche sich wirklich lohnt.
Dann fiel mir eine Uhr auf, von der ich noch nie gehört hatte, mit Specs, die wie ein Tippfehler aussahen. 5 Sensoren. Dual-frequency L1+L5 GPS. MIL-STD-810H. Bis zu 7 Tage Akku für 119,99 €.
Ich bestellte die Gard Pro Ultra 3 und erwartete, den Haken zu finden.
Den gab es nicht. Sie sitzt jetzt seit 4 Monaten an meinem Handgelenk. Die Tabelle ist seit Woche 2 geschlossen.
Auf dem Papier ist die Forerunner 265 für rund 13 Tage im Smartwatch-Modus ausgelegt. Meine schaffte 9, wenn es gut lief. Die Apple Ultra 3 hält real ~42 Stunden, also lag sie bei mir jede Nacht am Ladegerät.
Die Ultra 3 hält bei normaler Nutzung mehr als eine Woche mit einer einzigen Ladung. Im Energiesparmodus sind es bis zu 90 Tage. Ich lade sie Sonntagmorgen beim Kaffeekochen und denke den Rest der Woche nicht mehr daran.
"Rugged" wird auf jede Sportuhr geklebt, auch auf welche, die schon brechen, wenn man sie zu fest anschaut. MIL-STD-810H ist anders. Es ist ein Prüfstandard des US-Verteidigungsministeriums. 29 definierte Tests. Kälte, Hitze, Staub, Regen, Vibration, Sturz, alles dabei.
Die Apple Ultra 3 hat es nicht. Die Forerunner 265 auch nicht. Die Ultra 3 schon. Nach einem Arbeitstag spüle ich sie einfach mit dem Gartenschlauch ab.
Kurz die Specs auf einen Blick: Beschleunigungssensor, Gyroskop, Kompass, Barometer, Herzfrequenz, SpO₂, Blutdrucktrend, Atemfrequenz, Umgebungslicht und Dual-frequency L1+L5 GPS. Das ist dieselbe GPS-Konfiguration wie bei der Forerunner 965. Die 965 kostet 649 €.
Der Rest ist, was du erwartest: Herzfrequenz, Schlaf, Stress. Keine medizinische Diagnose, einfach ein täglicher Wellness-Check, was in deinem Körper passiert.
Das stand nicht in meiner Tabelle, war am Ende aber wichtig. In der ersten Woche fragte ein Kollege, ob es die neue Garmin sei. Als ich ihm sagte, was ich bezahlt hatte, dachte er, ich mache Witze.
Am Handgelenk wirkt sie wie eine Sportuhr für 500 €. Gebürstete Lünette, 1,43" AMOLED mit 1000 Nits und hell genug, um sie in direkter Sonne abzulesen.

The watch is great when comparing it to the Apple ultra top spec which I still use. The Gardpro is literally plug and play, battery life is amazing, highly recommend it for those looking for a time piece that pretty much covers everything a smart watch should. Subtle difference in the calorie measurement though, seems to tally less than the Apple does. Suppose it could be down to settings and config etc… either way great product. Need more watch faces to choose from..

I bought this watch for my wife because I was so impressed with my own. My wife has several medical issues that require her to monitor her BP, heart rate and body temperature at regular intervals. This watch is for my teenage son and he loves it. He says it has long battery life. He checks his text messages, measures his workouts and progress, and says it fits well. Delivery took a little longer than I was expecting but that wasn't a big deal.
The watch is of a very good build quality, it looks sleek and premium. Super easy to set up and the battery (so far) is amazing as I have not had to charge it yet and it's been nearly three weeks! I would certainly recommend as I personally can't justify the prices of the 'branded' smart watches but with this one you dont need to. Loads of features and all working well.
