Das ist, was ich herausgefunden habe, und was mir jemand vor 3 Armbändern hätte sagen sollen.
In den letzten 18 Monaten habe ich auf der Baustelle 3 Armbänder verschlissen. Eine Garmin Fenix 7 (das Armband riss an einem Stück Baustahl), eine Casio Pro Trek (das Kunststoffarmband brach in der Kälte) und das billige Silikonarmband, das ich als Notlösung probierte und das etwa 6 Wochen hielt. Alles in allem habe ich rund 1.300 € für Uhren und Ersatzarmbänder ausgegeben, die in einer Schublade gelandet sind.
Sie liegen alle in einer Schublade.
Die günstigste, die ich probiert habe, die Gard Pro Ultra 3 für 119,99 €, ist immer noch an meinem Handgelenk. Dasselbe Armband. Dieselbe Uhr. Genau das hat den Unterschied gemacht.
Das Armband der Ultra 3 ist aus verstärktem Silikon mit einer Metallstift-Schließe. 7 Monate später ist kein Riss drin.
Ich habe es an Gerüstklemmen hängenlassen, durch nassen Beton gezogen und am Ende des Tages unter dem Wasserhahn abgespült. Es sieht aus wie am Tag, an dem ich es ausgepackt habe. Und sollte es doch mal kaputtgehen, deckt GardCare+ den Austausch des Armbands ab.
Jede robuste Uhr behauptet, 'hart im Nehmen' zu sein. Die meisten wurden gegen nichts Konkretes getestet. Sie kleben das Wort einfach auf die Verpackung.
Die Ultra 3 ist MIL-STD-810H-zertifiziert, dasselbe Testverfahren, das das US-Militär für Feldausrüstung nutzt. 29 einzelne Robustheitstests: Stürze, Stöße, Vibration, Staub, Feuchtigkeit, Minusgrade, Salznebel, was du willst. Es ist die einzige Angabe auf der Verpackung, die auf einer Baustelle etwas bedeutet.
Meine Garmin war am Mittwochmittag schon bei 20%. Die halbe Woche habe ich vergessen, sie zu laden, und dann ging sie einfach am Handgelenk aus.
Die Ultra 3 hält mehr als eine Woche mit einer einzigen Ladung bei normaler Nutzung. Bis zu 90 Tage im Energiesparmodus. Ich lege sie Sonntagmorgen auf das Ladegerät, während ich einen Kaffee trinke. Den Rest der Woche denke ich nicht mehr daran.
Auf der Baustelle brauche ich keine 47 Apps. Ich brauche die Uhrzeit, das Datum, eine Stoppuhr, wenn ich eine Betonage stoppe, Anrufe vom Handgelenk, wenn mein Handy im Transporter liegt, und eine Herzfrequenzanzeige, wenn ich den ganzen Tag die Leiter hoch und runter gehe.
Die Ultra 3 macht das alles, plus SpO₂, Schlaf und Stress. Keine medizinische Diagnose, einfach ein täglicher Blick darauf, was los ist. Das Dual-Band-GPS ist außerdem ein netter Bonus, ich habe am Wochenende eine Wanderung getrackt und es war so genau wie früher meine Garmin.
Ich bin kein App-Typ. Meine letzte Einrichtung dauerte eine halbe Stunde und ich habe trotzdem gegoogelt, warum meine Benachrichtigungen nicht ankamen.
Lade die GARD PRO FIT-App herunter, scanne den QR-Code, beantworte ein paar kurze Fragen, fertig. Kein Abo, kein Premium-Upsell. Benachrichtigungen kamen sofort an. Meine Herzfrequenz wurde schon gemessen, bevor ich die Küche verlassen hatte.
Eine Smartwatch für 120 €, ich dachte, wenn etwas schiefgeht, bin ich auf mich allein gestellt. Eine Mail ins Leere schicken und nie wieder etwas hören.

Hör zu, ich hatte eine Fenix 7. Es war eine super Uhr. Bis das Armband nachgab und mir klar wurde, dass ich 699 € für etwas ausgegeben hatte, das am Ende wie alles andere eine Armband-Schwäche hatte.
Spec für Spec bei dem, was auf einer Baustelle wirklich zählt, hält die Ultra 3 locker mit. Dieselbe Akku-Klasse. Dasselbe GPS. Dieselbe Robustheitsklasse. Ein Bruchteil des Preises.

The watch is great when comparing it to the Apple ultra top spec which I still use. The Gardpro is literally plug and play, battery life is amazing, highly recommend it for those looking for a time piece that pretty much covers everything a smart watch should. Subtle difference in the calorie measurement though, seems to tally less than the Apple does. Suppose it could be down to settings and config etc… either way great product. Need more watch faces to choose from..

I bought this watch for my wife because I was so impressed with my own. My wife has several medical issues that require her to monitor her BP, heart rate and body temperature at regular intervals. She has also started trying to increase the number of steps a day to help herself. The Gardpro can do all of this and more for a very competitive price. Highly recommend.
This watch is for my teenage son and he loves it. He says it has long battery life. He checks his text messages, measures his workouts and progress, and says it fits well. Delivery took a little longer than I was expecting but that wasn't a big deal.
The watch is of a very good build quality, it looks sleek and premium. Super easy to set up and the battery (so far) is amazing as I have not had to charge it yet and it's been nearly three weeks! I would certainly recommend as I personally can't justify the prices of the 'branded' smart watches but with this one you dont need to. Loads of features and all working well.
